1. For my exit strategy, I plan to sell my company to a larger company and let the company be merged with another similar one. For this, I hope to receive a large return as a result of selling my company.
2. Although I do enjoy everything I have done with this company, I really do not see this as how I want to spend the rest of my life. When looking into the future, I see a lot of things, but this is definitely not one of them! I hope to use the money I made from selling this company to start a family and eventually be able to start a job that I actually would be happy doing and spending the rest of my working years pursuing!
3. I think I have thought about my exit strategy a lot both on purpose and not on purpose while planning out my company and its opportunities. For example, nearly every opportunity of growth I talked about had been connected with someone else/a larger business. This is because I wanted to make connections with larger corporations and other businesses to grow my company and one day eventually fully sell my business to one of the businesses I am involved with/partnered with. By making these connections and partnerships early on with other businesses, It would be much easier to sell my business in about 5 years or so for a large amount of money!
Hey Aaron,
ReplyDeleteI think you have a great exit strategy. Selling to a larger company will allow you to make a great profit after working with your start-up for a few years. I totally understand that this may not be something you want to do for the rest of your life, and that’s okay! Through this experience you will definitely learn a lot, and it will be beneficial regardless of how long you pursue this opportunity. Great post!
Hi Aaron,
ReplyDeleteI really like your exit strategy as you will receive a lot of capital for your company which you then could use to do whatever you'd like. All this time, you don't even have to stress about the company or running it at all. Sounds like paradise to me. I think this venture gives you a lot of flexibility to do whatever is going to make you happy in life, whether that be running this company, never pursing it, or selling it for a large amount of money among others. Thank you for sharing and great post!
Aaron
ReplyDeleteI had the same idea as you as it pertains to my exit strategy. I also want to sell my opportunity to a bigger and similar company. I thought that selling the company would not only be financially fruitful but also allow for me to enjoy retirement. I also agree with you that I didn't want to pursue this opportunity for the rest of my life and that's why I wanted to sell it off. Great work on this post I loved seeing the similarities we had on this idea.
